Deadline & How To Submit

For publication in the weekly newsletter that currently goes out on Wednesday evenings, submissions must be submitted by 12:00 noon on Tuesday the day prior. Email office@uufcc.com with your content and include "e-news submission" in your email subject line.

Deadlines may differ during the holiday season, or when the Office Administrator is out of office. 

December 2025: out of office December 24-Jan 2. All e-news submissions during that time period must come in by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

Content
You may submit pictures to be evaluated for inclusion. There is no guarantee that the pictures will be included! Announcements generally do not have accompanying pictures.

Shorten your text for easier reading. (If your submission has lengthy text, we may need to make some modifications to the announcement on the newsletter, and possibly link from the email to a separate page where the full text can be read.)

Submission content should be either directly related to UUFCC or UUFCC members. Unrelated content is subject to review and might not be included.

Events (both UUFCC and Community-run) can be submitted to the Office Administrator at any time to be added to the UUFCC website calendar.

Social Justice submissions will not be accepted. Please send all social justice related announcements to UUNeedToKnow.

Placement
Events and Announcements sections follow chronological order. Highlighted events are selected by staff. 

This weekly e-newsletter aims to bring stimulating UUFCC-related information to subscribers. Announcements that seemingly have no deadline may not run for more than 4 weeks in a row without changing in some way. (This is to avoid newsletter fatigue; no one wants to see the same exact article in a newspaper for multiple successive weeks, right?)

An Events is defined as an occasion that can be attended with a specific date, start/end time, and location.

An Announcement is defined as information to share, but lacking all of the above characteristics.
